"The Power of Love"

As Valentine’s Day approaches, we are reminded of the power of love. In his book, The Miracle of Love, Paul Ferrini says, “Love opens the mind/body consciousness to its maximum energetic potential.”
Once you open your mind/body connection to its maximum energetic potential, your disposition will be sweetened, and a sweetened disposition is always less aggressive and defensive. As you become less aggressive and defensive, instead of defending yourself when you feel attacked, you will remember that, “In your defense-less-ness your safety lies.” --A.C.I.M.
That affirmation from A Course in Miracles will restore your peace of mind. As you experience the peace of God more each day, you will feel content with what is happening in your life, whether it be your job, your relationships, your spiritual path, your home environment or your life in general.
Besides all of that, contentment and acceptance of what is: a side effect of the power of love makes you easier to be with. Acceptance of what is makes you easier to be with because as you begin to accept instead of criticizing your partner, children or employee’s behavior, you’ll harmonize and transform all your relationships.
That is why the Bible in 1st Corinthians 13:13 says, “Now abideth Faith Hope and Love, these three, but the greatest of these is Love.”
Love is the greatest power in the universe because when the power of love is opened to its maximum energetic potential in you, nothing that shows up in your life will devastate you. Nothing will devastate you whether it be the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, a mortgage foreclosure, chronic or devastating illness, divorce or anything else that can be disturbing to your peace of mind, because as Charles Fillmore, Unity’s founder taught, “nothing is resistant to the healing power of love.”
Another perk to opening your mind to its maximum energetic Love Potential is that you become a magnet for your good. Instead of spending your life seeking and not finding, through the attracting power of love, you begin to magnetize what you want and need into your life.
Jesus’ directive was: “Seek and you will find.” What I hear Jesus saying is that when our hearts and minds are opened to our maximum energetic potential we will “Seek and find” what we need when we need it. In other words, the good that you are seeking will begin to seek you. In fact when your heart and mind are opened to your maximum energetic potential you will not only seek and find, but with that expanded LOVE Energy flowing effortlessly, you will become emotionally strong and whole, mentally alert, happy, prosperous and open to new possibilities.
A friend of my late daughter, Leslie, told me that Leslie had told her that she didn’t want to be forgotten. Knowing that the expanded energy of Love opens us to limitless possibilities, I set my intention to making sure that she would not be forgotten. My first action step was to write a book about her life. As I was working feverishly on the book, I got a call from the executive director and the senior director of development of the San Diego Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis. As I mentioned that my book was a means to insure that Leslie would never be forgotten, they showed me a better way to do that.
They told me that the name of the award, "Women Who Take Our Breath Away,” an award given each year to an extraordinary woman with Cystic Fibrosis, has been forever changed to: “The Leslie Petrone Award for Women Who Take Our Breath Away.” Then, as if that were not enough, they asked if I would be the presenter for this year’s award and every year after that.
When your heart and mind are opened to your maximum energetic potential, you will not only become open to new possibilities, and “seek and find,” but what you seek will seek you.
